Growing up in California my parents enjoyed the outdoors. This gave me many opportunities to explore the natural world, to learn to appreciate it, and to become fascinated with animals. I am drawn to their beautiful colors, their movement, their amazing camouflage and how they interact with each other and their environment.
Self-taught, my work is primarily watercolor on paper. I have found such a diversity of wildlife and nature in California, that my work now has an emphasis on the native species, with a special interest in the endangered and threatened.
