Apple Valley, California, artist Reva Hansen began painting southwestern landscapes while still in high school, winning a scholarship to the Kansas City Art Institute. She continued this journey while completing her college education and teaching in New Mexico and Arizona. The fascinating creatures around her home in the Mojave Desert turned her attention to desert wildlife, and for a number of years she exhibited exclusively for wildlife organizations throughout California.
Reva then concentrated for some years on exhibiting at professional art shows, and now works exclusively from her studio - primarily with oil and pastel - and does a variety of wildlife. Her work generally exudes serene tactile realism, and speaks for itself. She has been represented by several galleries and has advertised in Southwest Art, Wildlife Art, and others.
